A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Roz Davey

Well, we are rocketing through the programme: Pisces Pairs are done, Autumn Pairs a thing of the past along with the Aries Pairs and the 777 Teams Event. Congratulations to all our winners. Now is the time to ask the question – these Red Point Events are not being supported as well they used to be; I know our numbers are slightly down and we have had people away holidaying or recovering, but the question still remains are these event still appropriate or do you, the members, want different events, or perhaps only on Mondays or only on Fridays?? Please let us know so that we can plan the calendar for you our members. Mentoring Programme This appears to be going really well, I have had positive feedback from both mentors and mentees Knock Out Teams Again, some positive feedback from those participating in these, but again, unfortunately, only small numbers! Non-Playing Duty Partner Thank you to Dave Clark who has agreed to be a non-playing duty partner for Tuesday Nights. Unfortunately Dave is the only member who has put his name forward. Directors Weekend Thank you to all who took part, I hope you have all benefitted from the weekend. Honour Boards I have had no feedback (except from the committee) on the suggestions for the placement of new Honour Boards. If we have heard nothing back by the June meeting, we will move ahead on our own cognition. GNOT Not looking good – remember this is our only opportunity to compete for gold points in our own club. This is not a ticking off merely an observation – we appear to be coming a little boisterous during sessions, please think of your fellow players and show them the same courteous behaviour you wish them to show you. Keep Well, Keep Safe, Enjoy your Bridge, Support your Club and its events.
