Morning Tea a huge success

Rockingham Bridge Club regularly holds a morning tea with the aim to showcase the Bridge Club to any potential new members, those thinking about taking up this beautiful game. We also take this opportunity to introduce last year’s beginners to some of the members, giving them the opportunity to play “out of the nursery with the grown ups”, give them the confidence to play regularly on Bridge Days.

We had a great turn out with our regular members playing their part in helping the beginners and talking to prospective Bridge players and letting them share their experiences with this great game.

Rockingham Bridge Club is not only full of talented Bridge Players, but talented bakers and cooks. The spread that was put on sure tempted our taste buds. A huge thank you to all who made this possible, with a very special mention to Di Brooks who has spent considerable time marketing this event.

Lyn says

When I first decided to learn bridge, I thought I would have a couple of lessons and then I would know how to play. After 18 months I am still learning, this is a game that challenges you and keeps your brain active and on the way you make some wonderful friends. Everyone makes you very welcome and if I could play seven days a week I would!

Kerrie

I love bridge. Its a challenge and keeps my brain active. I’ve met some great friends here too.

Helen, also an ex-student. Always a lot of fun to have a around and we love it when she is at our table.

Paul took up Bridge in September 2017 and has been playing regularly since 2018. Bridge was in his blood as he joined with his Dad who already knew how to play Bridge.

I have enjoyed my time.
